I was very pleased to be invited by the illustrator Libby Walker and painter Greer Pester to take part in they're curated "Geometic Glagsow" exhibition at Offshore cafe,Gibson street the night was a real successs with indie acoustic set from Glasgow based Bearbones
Other artists.designers within the show included robbie porter,jen mcgregor and Lesley Barnes who has chosen to display her handmade puppets.
My piece entitled "Glasgow Kiss" was made on scratchboard a method of illustrating i am keen to explore more.i just tried to create a playful,agressfully affectionate view of the Glasgow city character. i hope you enjoy
Art Fusion's "Geometric Glasgow" is brought to you with a host of plenty events running in the current Westend festival,the exhibition will coincide with the video launch event of Barnes' new animation ,made for the wonderfully Scottish Belle and Sebastian.This is not to be missed as Lesley barnes displays such a unique and creative style in her work , im excited to see this video, launch will also be at Offshore Cafe,June 14th.
